My husband and I are currently in Miami and I have to say, when I first found out that we were going to be here for a month, I was a bit skeptical. Miami holds a certain reputation that I feel I can't quite keep up with. Don't get me wrong, I am ALL about beaches, water, and sun. But to my surprise Miami has not been at all what it's cliche may be.
I absolutely love the whole retro 70's scene everywhere. There is so much color and art! And the food. Oh my gosh. Don't get me started. Everything from the burgers in Coral Gables to seafood in South Beach has been delish. While in South Beach this past weekend, we ate a place called Park Central Cafe. So, so good! Not to mention, cutest little decor. The plates were shell shaped! Adorbs. (I'll attach a pic at the bottom.) Anyway, I've seen so many pink buildings, it makes my heart so happy! The lifeguard huts are the absolute cutest.

 {the tapas plate. so. much. yummmm!}

Aside from visiting the famous South Beach, I found a hidden gem near Coral Gables. Absolute serenity. Matheson Hammock park is a little beach/ marina where you can see the Miami skyline, rent a kayak, or just set your hammock up and relax for the day. Such a win!
