cinnamon stick potpourri's mixed with rosemary wrapped with twine

i really wanted to make this baby shower special and feel perfect for the darling new mama to be. it was a little tricky to think of a unique boy theme but i started thinking about books seeing as the mom is a teacher, i figured a book theme would be perfect. when i remembered The Giving Tree, i just knew that one had to be the one! The Giving Tree has always been a favorite book of mine and it just seemed perfect not only because it talks about loving a boy but also because i could take the tree concept and turn it into a rustic-boho feel!
i knew i needed a lot of green to make the table pop so with the help of my sweet hubby, we made some leafy wreaths out of green stems and floral wire from Michaels. i wanted a eucalyptus look so i got these mini eucalyptus looking leafs and shaped them into circles using the floral wire!
the beautiful cake is made by the very talented Pat A Cakes bakery
i tried incorporating different quotes from the book into the invitation and other decor and i think it worked out perfect!
we also did an apple cider bar because Fall obvi, and the apples in the book! i'm obsessed with the new Hearth and Hand line at Target and just had to snag that pretty little pitcher from there! mugs are from Anthro and World Market.
it was so fun bringing this book to life! i can't wait to do another! :)
