cigar + whiskey bar

planning a party for a guy is always a little bit trickier than planning a party for a girl!...but when my friend told me she wanted to do something along the lines of Italy- godfather- cigars, i was sooo excited and knew we had to do a little vintagy cigar/ whiskey bar for the all the gentlemen at this 29th birthday party! i thought antiquing would be the perfect place to find some of the fun items to really give it the perfect feel.
we had a blast shopping around antique stores for little props and such to put this scene together - all while rocking bubs of course- rushing through aisles, AND a man had the actual audacity tell us that i need to feed my child, grrr. lol. nonetheless, so. much. fun. we found fedoras for our photo booth, cigar boxes to display, whiskey glasses, a wooden box for cards, & a golden chalkboard for the manly touch. (we looked so hard for vintagy matches but no luck. i ended up just spreading out regular plain old matches which still looked cute).
we made little Jack and Coke bottle favors which did not disappoint and were already being used at the begining of the party, hah! it always makes me so happy when people actually use the things i put so much effort into making. i can’t tell you how many times i've forgotten to give out favors or people are too scared to touch a desert bar bc they don’t wanna ruin the set up! it’s there to eat y’all!!
i also added a gorgeous olive branch garland to add the boho element PLUS a touch of Italy, obviiii.
 (garland here.)
this was my first party to style with baby M AND without hubbies so i literally had no time to take pictures. :( i’ve posted whatever i quickly got before people started showing up and before we actually filled the bar and food table up. we made memories and mental pics which will last a lifetime! sometimes you just gotta put the phone away and engage in good conversation.... or engage into mom mode, lol.
i also found fun little wood stumps at the antique shop which i thought would add a cute rustic charm so i used them as labels. (similar wood here)
as always, this little get together ended up being such a great time with great food and company and i cannot wait wait for our next rendezvous!
enjoy!
